Principals have more than forty years of progressive hospitality experience in major markets, with properties ranging from 75 to 1,100 keys with a strong foundation in accounting and finance, sales and marketing (all segments including student-housing), food and beverage, and all other operational departments. Award winning, pre-opening, as well as re-opening experience with independent and branded properties. Hands on experience with Disney area hotels, IHG hotels in Central and North Florida. Marriott resorts in Orlando, FL, Hilton hotels in Raleigh, NC and Orlando, Florida, Omni Hotels in St. Louis, MO, and Atlanta, GA, as well independent properties in both Orlando and the greater Tampa Bay region.
Not only are the principals experienced in several brands and segments, but they have traversed and successfully navigated through numerous industry changing impacts, have an unwavering passion for service excellence, emphasize the concept of "over-communication" daily throughout the organization, and insist on hiring the right team members in the right positions who share that same passion.

Demonstrated success driving perennial growth in revenue per available room, operating cash flow, as well as delivering continuous service enhancement through training, accountability, and over-communication by ensuring passionate team members are in the right positions. Leadership within strong leisure and group markets containing theme park attractions, globally respected universities, professional sports' teams, perennial citywide conventions, and other strong demand generators.
Successful stints in Accounting and Finance as Director of Finance for assets owned by Oppenheimer Investments and Turner Broadcasting i.e. Omni International Hotel in St. Louis, Missouri and Omni Hotel at CNN Center in Atlanta, Georgia, Controller for Marriott Hotel International Drive in Orlando, Florida owned by W.B. Johnson Properties, and Area Controller for Holiday Inn Resort International Drive in Orlando, Florida. Award winning leadership roles as General Manager for properties owned and managed by an independent ownership group in high performance lodging markets - Downtown Tampa, Florida and adjacent to the University of Florida in Gainesville, the Royal Plaza Hotel (sold and rebranded) which was a Goldman Sachs' owned asset in Disney Springs, Florida, as well as a Holiday Inn Resort (sold and rebranded), and an IHG managed asset, near the entrance to the Walt Disney World Resort.
Odyssey has a bachelor's degree in Economics (Magna Cum Laude honors - #3 in graduating class within 3 years) with a minor in Accounting from Johnson C. Smith University, a small private university in Charlotte, North Carolina, a master's degree in Business Administrative Sciences (concentration in Finance) from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa, and an advanced Certificate in Asset Management and Real Estate Investments from Cornell University. He resides in Tampa, Florida.
